I have been doing wheelchair racing for about fourteen years now. The main distances I compete in are 100 and 200 meters. My best achievements are three gold medals from the CP-ISRA World Championships in 2005 in Connecticut, USA, on 100, 200 and 400 meters. At the year 2005 I was also nominated as the best track and field athlete of the Finnish Lapland region as the first disabled athlete of all time. My next big goal is to win a medal on either 100m or 200m race in the IPC World Championships in Christchurch, New Zealand in January 2011. I am working as a software engineer in an IT-company in my home city Rovaniemi. In addition to that I am also maintaining a couple of websites on my spare time. |
