I have been doing wheelchair racing for about twelve years now. The main distances I compete in are 100 and 200 meters. My best achievements are three gold medals from the CP-ISRA World Championships in 2005 in Connecticut, USA, on 100, 200 and 400 meters. I was also competing in the IPC Open European Championships in Espoo same summer.

At the year 2005 I was also nominated as the best track and field athlete of the Finnish Lapland region as the first disabled athlete of all time.

My target for the season 2008 was to break the European record on 100 meters in class T34, which is 18,44s. I achieved that in the Finnish national championships, Kalevan Kisat, in Tampere, where my time was 18,30s. Unfortunately, the IPC sanctioning was not applied for that event, so my result will not be recognized as the new European record... But hopefully that will happen next season.

I am working as a software engineer in an IT-company in my home city Rovaniemi. In addition to that I am also maintaining a couple of websites on my spare time.
